How we took Leeds Building Society to Downing Street

Uniting a community of lost buyers

Every day 233 people in the UK miss out on buying their first home. Leeds Building Society want to change that. So we created Losthaven, a fictitious city with an ever-increasing population, giving a community of first-time buyers a platform for the issue and to show them they weren’t alone.

Making an impact

United by one address and one voice, Losthaven went all the way to Downing Street to demand change. In the first 24 hours, 38,000 people visited Losthaven online, whilst 1300 signed postcards that were hand delivered to 10 Downing Street. Most importantly, the work helped Leeds Building Society ignite conversations with the Housing Minister, Members of Parliament and Metro Mayors.
